Sculpture for...

This Serie led Pierre Descamps to act directly on public spaces, inserting his work in the places where the events take place, providing new obstacle that breaks that urban monotony. These modules made out of wood or concrete, installed illegally in different parts of Berlin, comes in form of a poster that takes the great artistic´ aesthetics events and announces its installation for a limited time, conditioned by the speed oft he municipal services at the time of take out. When used in more select contexts, like institutions and avant-garde galleries, the informational efficacy oft he poster is often ignored and instead focuses solely on its use as an instrument to verify an event. Yet, in the popular imagination posters belong tot he urban environment and are generally distributed massively with criteria of minimum cost. These creations are, on the other hand, high-quality prints that retrieve this no-longer existing ephemeral pieces   which were never presented in exhibitions. Here however, any notional nostalgia is counteracted by the sobriety of the images and typography used.
